Acadia FCU Scholarship
Acadia FCU offers four $3,000 scholarships for graduating high school seniors, awarded based on a combination of academic achievement and financial need. This scholarship reflects our commitment to supporting students as they pursue their educational goals. The scholarship is available to graduating Maine high school seniors who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- (1) Attend an Aroostook, Hancock, Penobscot, Piscataquis, or Washington County high school;
- (2) Plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university; and
- (3) Are an active Acadia FCU member or whose parent(s)/guardian(s) is/are active member(s).
Peter Saucier Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship pays tribute to Peter Saucier, a beloved board member and volunteer who devoted over 28 years of service to the credit union and its members. It is one $5,000 award aimed at celebrating students who embody Pete’s qualities and commitment to helping others.
Pete’s legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and positivity. Whether he was volunteering at community events, lending a helping hand, or sharing a friendly smile, Pete’s gentle and caring nature left a profound impact on everyone he encountered. Through this scholarship, Acadia FCU hopes to continue his mission of enriching lives and fostering a spirit of service. Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- (1) Attend Fort Kent Community High School;
- (2) Plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university; and
- (3) Are an active Acadia FCU member or whose parent(s)/guardian(s) is/are active member(s).
One $5,000 scholarship recipient will be selected annually by the Acadia FCU Peter Saucier Memorial Scholarship selection committee, which includes at least one of Peter Saucier’s family members.
